First of all i want to thank the staff here at EverythingDrift for giving me this little spot of paradise on the internet to talk about the stuff that’s currently going on with me and my driving efforts and other stuff that comes along from here on out!
So a little history on me, i’ve been driving for about 2.5 years now and man has it gone by fast! I remember when i first purchased my 1990 Nissan 240sx like it was yesterday.

my old 240sx
It came equipped with your basic bolt on drift goodies: coilovers, vlsd, rear sway bar, strut tower bars, bucket seat, steering wheel, old school enkei meshies, and a CD player(super important) i actually took it out that night and started sliding. Unfortunately street drifting didn’t pan out so well for me…about 4 days after i had the car i had gotten arrested for “reckless driving on private property” and got my car impounded and almost lost my license! But i wasn’t too unlucky, i was able to pull some strings and kept my license and didn’t get anything on my record.
By having this run in with law was actually a good thing. It showed me that this wasn’t the correct way to approach drifting and that i should take it to orgainzed events and let loose there without any of the stress or consequences that come with illegal street drifting.
So i started running at local events called Drift Buffet and started to hone my skills there. By running the events every month i was able to land a spot on their demo team (which gave me more seat time) and then started running the DB competition series as well.
I did pretty well in this series and by doing so i was invited to go compete in China in the World Drift Series with a few other hand picked fellow competitors and a few FD drivers. I was able to do pretty well considering the cars that were given to us to drive weren’t on the level as our competitors had, but i made the most of it and just drove my best. Making top 8 in beijing and top 16 in Hangzhou.
So i’m going to back track a couple months before i went to china and talk about how i got my r33.

I was approached by a friend of a friend who was already driving for him who had this car laying around in storage. He offered the car to me to drive for him and at first i declined, since it is such a pretty car and me not fully trusting my skills at the time. But he offered it to me again, and it was alot nicer car than mine was and it was more competitive than mine was so i said what the hell and started driving for him. A few months after the china trip the owner lost interest and i purchased the car off of him. With having this car now there was no need to have 2 drift cars so i sold my 240 and started upgrading my r33 and started participating in other events.

So pretty much all of last year i didn’t really get to drive that much. I mainly ran the Just Drift Top Drift series and a few other events and demos. I also went back to china again, which was a much better experience than last year in almost every way possible. The driving skill was way higher than the previous year (mainly all FD drivers and even Japanese D1 drivers, and of course China’s best) i drove a supercharged ae86 corolla which was an absolute blast to drive! The trip was also shorter than the previous one due to it only being one event, but i’m going to say it again it was absolutely epic. I was able to go up against Dart Izumi, Jr. ,who happens to be one of my favorite drivers ever. The battle between me and Dart was during top 8 and man it was epic. He was also driving an ae86 corolla, and it was his personal car so Iknew that this match was going to be tough. But with that aside we both saddled up and hit the course, destroying bumpers, getting door to door, just getting sick with it and it was absolutely the best time i’ve had drifting ever. We went one more time and him beatin gme by a small margin but none the less i just felt honored to drive with one of my idols and have such a good match.
With another china experience under my belt and behind me, we are now in the year 2009 and it’s looking to be a bright one. I’ve been driving pretty frequently recently and it’s starting to show . A couple weeks back there was a D1 Underground event at the Adams Kart Track in Riverside, CA and runing there i was able to obtain my provisional D1 license!

I’m very excited for the remainder of this year so stay tuned for more news and mayhem!!!!
